Why Use Multiple browsers?
With multiple browsers I can be logged into the same host with different user names. For example I can log into Webs.com using xxx1via Firefox and then log in using xxx2 via Chrome then log in to xxx3 via Avant and there is no confusion.Try doing that on one browser. The same goes with E-mail, you can have multiple address's open on different browsers, but in the one browser, you must always log out to log in to another user or as soon as you log into another user it logs out of the one you are already in, very frustrating when you are trying to work on multiple projects at once.
Multiple Browsers are useful for doing more than one project at a time.
Mozilla Firefox
If you are using Webs.com as your site host (and I am sure you are) you may find, as I have, that Mozilla Firefox is a much better browser system to work with than Explorer. I can recommend Firefox as a browser you should use when working on your Webs.com website, it even has a built in spell check that corrects as you type, as a minimum, Firefox is a no-brainer for site builders using Webs.com.
Opera for Windows has been called the fastest browser available, that may be arguable as update after update keeps the race alive for fastest, but for absolute convenience it is second to none. I use Opera for online business. I access PayPal, (E Bay Au, America, UK, Europe) Conversion rates, Banking sites, etc. Opera has a speed dial system that keeps up to nine sites visible on one page at a time. It is so convenient when listing on E bay sites all around the world. There may have been some changes since I last tried, but to the best of my knowledge Webs.com and Opera do not mix very well. Use it for business and you cant go wrong.
Though Safari is apple and more recognized as a Mac program, it is the fastest browser available. I use Safari for my e- mail, Hot mail, Web mail, etc. Is a fantastic browser and easily competes with any other browser available. Fast and efficient it has all the bells and whistles if you like to do bit of surfing. Don't be without Safari, it is a pleasure to use. Safari would make the perfect default browser, but I stick with Firefox because of its compatibility with Webs.com, but for speed and service I would recommend giving Safari a go as your default browser. If you like it stick with it.
Is comparable with Firefox, it is very simple to use. Again this is a valuable browser to have on bored and could be used for anything. It would be a great default browser. I have no problem using this browser with Webs.com, it has spell check and though it is not the fastest it is effective and easy to use. I keep the home page tabs set for multi media viewing.
Avant is very fast and very easy to use. I keep it open for study sites and information, it could easily be my default browser. When you close down Avant it stays alive in the tray of the tool bar using minimum memory while you work on other things. As soon as you want it back up it restores as was, in an instant. It is the perfect browser for sites you want constantly available, but do not constantly use. It Works well with Webs.com, but it does not seem to have a spell checker. To close Avant you must exit it from the tool tray. Until you exit it remains active.
Explorer
I have explorer sitting in wait, you cant be to hard on explorer you never know when they will get back in the race.
Please note: it is not advisable to use different browsers to create one site. Try and stick with one browser per website, that keeps the codes constant and the site reliable.
